Carnival is the world's largest cruise line, much patronised by a predominantly American clientele and famed for developing both a market and a cruise line to deliver shorter, cheaper cruises.
Carnival Cruise Line Ships are immediately obvious because of their "Las Vegas" style decor, which is matched by equally glitzy entertainment. All vessels owned by Carnival are called The Fun Ships and the line's mascot "Fun Ship Freddy", a character shaped like Carnival's distinctive funnel. With all that emphasis on fun, it should be clear to all by now that Carnival is not the line to choose if you're looking for a quiet holiday!
The Carnival ships come in six classes: Holiday, Fantasy, Destiny, Spirit, Conquest and Splendor. Each class is a different size and shape but all of them offer similar services and levels of luxury and activity.
